Of new paintings, skeletons, books and butterflies

I did this painting yesterday when I was bored. It was free hand without any prior planing, just me tinkering with the brush and some blue and white paint. The flash of the camera did nothing to it, its really whitish in the middle.

I did this by first painting a solid background of blue fading to white in the middle, and then dragged a dry brush up and then down in stripes to mix it. Then I took another brush and put a face on top.

Close up to her face

This is what I am currently working on now. Its a skeleton (but you probably already knew that). I need to fix the skull, because it freaks me out...

I had to blog about the amazing book I found at a used book sale... it is gorgeous.

Along with my love for art is a love for encyclopedias... don't ask me why, I just love them.

When our butterfly hatched, it was a photo opportunity to amazing to miss. The butterfly apparently loved my sisters wet hair. I consider photos art too...
